Our Story
THE HISTORY OF THE RED ROAD

Red Road Pizza Co. was established by Chad and Tessa Colley in 2016. The Red Road name comes from the 66 mile long Cascade Lakes Highway; which was originally paved in the 1950s with the red volcanic cinder that Central Oregonians know so well. The red cinder gave the highway its original nickname of “The Red Road”. The Red Road provided a unique experience for people enjoying all the fishing, hiking, camping and everything else the Deschutes National Forest has to offer. The Red Road became a Central Oregon landmark. Even though the highway was paved over with black asphalt in the 1980s, it was dedicated as a National Forest Scenic byway in 1989. So, grab a Red Road Pizza, get out and explore what Central Oregon has to offer!
